About Us
The idea for the Little Artichoke Company came about in 2019 and the aim was to create a small cooking school which would teach people the basics of cookery and cake baking, as well as the fundamentals of wine education.
Whilst Covid has paused some of these plans for the time being, Little Artichoke Company officially launched in March 2020 and has been providing lockdown treats, as well as celebration cakes and online wine tastings!
Hopefully once all of this has subsided then the full vision for the Company can be realised and we can start welcoming people to our classes but in the meantime…enjoy some cake!
About Elizabeth
My mum and her sisters taught me to cook from a very young age and from them, I learned to appreciate the importance of good food and a home cooked meal. I still remember my mum teaching me to cook my first tray of cupcakes and it’s the same recipe I use to this day. My love of food and wine has grown the more exposure I have had to it and I have long wanted to turn it into a career.
Having spent eight years working for the UK Civil Service I decided it was time for a change of direction and I went to study Wine and Gastronomy Management at Le Cordon Bleu London, as well as my WSET Diploma in Wine alongside setting up my own company where I could share my love for food and wine with others.
